Below are some helpful longer term programs that may be useful to take part in for building sustainable coping mechanisms, communication and self care skills

The Banksia Project – “Growth Rooms” program
Banksia Project is a men’s mental wellness initiative combining awareness building with constructive action. The Growth Rooms are a first-of-its-kind format for men. They consistent of several community support groups lead by trained facilitators discussing a range of topics from stress management, mental illness to wellness practices. All groups will have a Mental Health professional referral network and clinical supervision from partner institutions.

Batyr – ‘Being Herd’ program
Being Herd is a free two day workshop that empowers young people to give a voice to their story. It is for young people aged 18 to 30 who want to learn how to share their experiences of mental ill health to help other young people. You don’t need a diagnosed mental illness to take part in the program. We are interested in the personal stories of anyone who has felt that their mental health has held them back, or made life more difficult than it needs to be.
